Bond Arms goes utilitarian with The Rough Series

2.5″ Bbl The Rough Series was launched last year with the Roughneck, Rough N Rowdy and Roughneck. These guns had a less than perfect finish to make them more affordable. Bond Arms’ regular series of handguns has a high-polished finish and smooth machining. However, this raises the price beyond what most people would pay for a two shot backup gun. The Rough Series eliminates labor costs associated with finishing the guns and instead opts to leave them “in the raw” to pass the savings on to the consumer. Regular series Bond Arms handguns go through their QC inspection process many times to make sure that every mark, scratch, or ding has been removed. Rough Series guns are instead deburred to remove any sharp edges. They are then bead blast, giving them a matte, machined appearance. Bond Arms claims they can make up to five Rough Series pistols in the same time as it takes to finish one Texas Defender. This results in a matte, machined-looking appearance. The Rowdy and Roughneck offer a wide range of calibers and sizes. The Grizzly is for those who want more refinement without spending too much. Caribou Media Group could earn a commission on qualifying purchases. The Grizzly is the newest edition of the series. It is essentially a deluxe Rowdy, but it costs far less than Bond Arms’ regular offerings. The Grizzly is a deluxe version of the Rowdy, but it costs far less than Bond Arms’ usual offerings.
