The company takes pride in the quality of its products, which is why they take it seriously. Bond Arms had to recall the Roughneck, its budget model. The Roughneck was affected by a barrel marking problem. RELATED STORY Bond arm introduces more affordable models with Rough series Bond arms issues a recall for roughneck marking compliance. Although the issue does not appear to pose a safety risk and only one of proper marking, it is still a valid request. The issue is a Roughneck 38/357 pistol that was sold to consumers without mandatory barrel ID markings. The barrel on your Roughneck may appear correct, but the barrels in question don’t have the full ID markings. Guns must have mandatory ID markings in order to be compliant. Bond Arms is committed to ensuring that firearms are in compliance with all production processes. The company asks you to compare your Roughneck barrel to the images on this webpage. If your barrel matches the barrels shown on this page, you will be asked to return it. For the compliant version of the barrel, please call them at (817 573 4445). To arrange for the return or non-compliant barrel, you can email them at [email protected]. Bond Arms will send you a wrench to help you remove the barrel as a thank you for your assistance. The company will also cover all shipping costs. The company will laser-etch the Bond Arms logo onto the barrel, and then give it a light touch up before returning it. This recall affects only the Roughneck 38/357 pistol. The recall has not affected any other Bond Arms pistols, according to our knowledge. Bond Arms is sorry for the inconvenience and appreciates your assistance. You get your barrel repainted and additional laser-etching included in the deal. BondArms.com has more information.
