August 19th, 2022Brownells donated a check for $59,884 to the Washington-state-based Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) to help fund the lawsuit against the state’s ban on standard-capacity magazines signed into law on March 23, 2022. Alan Gottlieb, Executive Vice President of the Second Amendment Foundation, said that Brownells really appreciated the financial support they provided to make our lawsuit possible. “This is not the first occasion Brownells has funded our [Second Amendment Rights Litigation] efforts. “Brownells raised funds during their “Mag Dump For Washington State” event, which ran from March 14 to June 24, 2022. Brownells promised that a portion of every Brownells aluminum 30-round magazine sold would go to SAF’s Washington legal efforts. Ryan Repp, Brownells’ VP for Marketing, said that Brownnells is a passionate defender the Second Amendment. We support many pro-Second Amendment groups, but we see SAF to be a stalwart for the fight to preserve our Constitutional freedoms. It’s a pleasure to make this donation to aid in their fight to help the citizens of Washington”.Washington state residents took advantage of the Mag Dump to purchase reliable standard-capacity magazines during the grace period between the day Senate Bill 5078 was signed into law and July 1, the day the magazine ban took effect.View Brownells’ full selection of pistol, rifle, and shotgun magazines at www.brownells.com/magazines .
