The Burris Optics Team Challenge is a 3-day competition that will take place on June 22-25, 2020, at a 17,000+ acre private ranch in Douglas Wyoming. CLICK HERE to register. The Burris Optics Team Challenge consists of two-person teams that compete in multiple shooting disciplines, including long-range rifle, pistol, and shotgun. The competition is designed for participants to test their marksmanship and teamwork skills. This match, in partnership with Competition Dynamics offers a cutting-edge, competitive practical shooting experience in a beautiful backcountry environment. The match takes place at a huge range just outside Douglas, Wyoming. The terrain is a mix of rolling hills, gradual inclines, and mountainous zones. Athlon Outdoors published an interesting article about Tyler Hughes and Rei Han, a young couple who competed in the event a few years back and finished 8th overall. Taylor described their experience as very positive: “Our goal was to go as far as we could and improve our plan every day based on the lessons we learned from one another. We never forgot to have fun together. Participants in the Burris Optics Team Challenge have the opportunity to win a variety prizes, including optics and cash. They can also win other shooting-related equipment. The 3 Field Hike Stages will require significant movement on foot to engage multiple targets.
Mountainous terrain with natural hazards / Rugged desert — local altitude of 5200 m?
Targets — Rifles to 1000 yards, Carbine to 600 yards and pistols to 60 nominal yards
Find, range and engage targets within strict time constraints
All equipment used in the course of fire is carried by competitors
Most targets will be reactive steel plate
