Bushmaster Firearms has announced their entry in the suppressor market with the release their new Muta BM30/BM556. Bushmaster chose a good time to get into the suppressor market, as more people are buying NFA items. Bushmaster’s new Muta suppressors include the BM30 (.30 caliber) and BM556 (5.556-rated cans). The Muta cans, which are competitively priced and made in America by Bushmaster, can be thrown on an AR-10/AR-15 to lower the decibel level. Their suppressors needed to be able to satisfy both civilians and law enforcement officers. That’s why the new Muta suppressors are made from 17-4 H1150 stainless steel and finished with temperature-resistant Cerakote, making them extremely durable and rated for full-auto fire. Muta cans come with a removable end cap that can be removed for cleaning and replacement. The Muta BM30 and BM556 suppressors are direct-thread models. However, the.30 caliber model can be threaded 5/8″-24, while the 5.56 can can can be threaded 1/2 “-28. The BM30 measures 6.8 inches in length and weighs 18.9 ounces. The BM556 measures 6 inches and weighs 16.9 ounces. Bushmaster claims that these cans are manufactured with very tight tolerances. The BM30 is 6.8 inches long and weighs 18.9 ounces.
