Congress imposes more gun control in spending Bill H.R. 8256

The Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 20,23. It sounds innocent enough. You would have to be an animal to not want something like this to happen. Right? Who wouldn’t want justice and science to be funded? Anyone who reads beyond the title. But that’s what’s important. You can hide your gun control measures within a spending bill with a simple title.

Gun Control is not a problem when Congress spends money

It doesn’t take a copy the Democrat playbook for this to be understood. They’ve been playing the same tired game for years. Give the bill a title that only Americans would vote against, and hide some pork in it.

But it’s not just any pork. It’s the pork that everyone wants. It’s kept secret because of this. Because it can’t withstand the democratic process’ litmus test. They hide it, and Speaker Nancy Pelosi then decries the vile monsters Republicans are for opposing them. They never debated the bill in the public square.

They’re back at it again. It’s the Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 20,23. It’s a mess, full of anti Second Amendment garbage that would never pass public scrutiny. Except in the most anti gun echo chambers. It’s a gun bill disguised.

Gun Owners of America says the bill is a gun control wishlist that includes the following items.

Massive ATF Budget Increase to Facilitate Biden’s Pistol BanGun Registration FundingGun Confiscation Law FundingFinancial Benefits for Families of Deceased ATF Agents Killed or Injured on the Job while Enforcing Gun ControlAmmunition Background Check StudyGun Control Research, Unbound by the Dickey AmendmentAnti-gun Community Violence Interventions”Domestic Violence Firearms Lethality Reduction Initiative””Violent Anti-Government Ideology” ResearchGun Control Earmarks

Gun Control Wish List

This one is a Democrat wishlist, and unlike any bipartisan gun control legislation (an affront against our rights), It contains all the junk they couldn’t get in the Bipartisan Safer Community Act.

The ammunition background check study is a particularly serious item. This study aims to treat ammunition purchases the same way as firearm purchases. In the near future, the study will examine ways to establish a background check system for ammunition purchases.

The ATF will also receive a significant budget increase to improve gun registries, enforce red flag laws, and other related activities. Biden’s pistol ban will be facilitated. Get back to work, the ATF requires more money to seize your firearms. They also require more money in case they are hurt or killed while stealing your firearms.

Terrorist, the bill also increases budget for research on “Violent Anti-Government Ideology.” This is the same bill President Joe Biden criticized in his last speech. Or the one that the FBI and DHS have identified in recently released documents. Spoiler alert! It’s you.

They are, however, clever, I must admit. The bill appears to include provisions for domestic abuse and gun violence. If you mention the gun control provisions in the bill, they will be able to point out those items and ask you why you are opposed.

There is no information about how they plan on getting guns out of the hands criminals. These proposals would remove firearms from women who are most vulnerable to domestic violence. Their sole focus is to remove guns from law-abiding gun owners. Even though a gun in the hands of a good man saves lives.

What’s not in the Bill

The bill’s non-essential items are just as important as the ones that are. Notice that there is no mention of gun safety education. Do you remember when gun safety education was taught in schools and there were no school shootings.

Schools are not equipped to prevent mass shootings and school safety. I wonder how much money could be used for school security and prevention. It would go a long ways towards protecting our children.

The bill also includes funds for “White Supremacist Domestic Radicalization Research”, but Antifa is not mentioned once. Black Lives Matter is not included in the bill. Or any violent left-wing extremist group. Terrorizing a whole country for more than a year is not considered domestic terrorism.

It doesn’t seem that there is any mention of funds for dominantly black communities that were ravaged by the Antifa/BLM Riots.

GOA takes a stand

If this passes both the Senate and the House, there will be Supreme Court challenges. This takes time and can cause a lot more damage than we expect. Particularly in the hands of ATF, who according to GOA:

“You will have to give the ATF your name and Social Security number. Address, phone number, email address, payment information, FINGERPRINTS. Also, the make, model, serial number of your firearm. You must also provide photographic evidence that you are complying.”

This is yet another Trojan Horse federal gun grab, as I’m sure you’ve noticed. The GOA is not having it and sent a letter to Congress recently condemning gun control in the spending bill, item by article. The letter details specific and explicit violations of the Bill of Rights.

GOA cannot win this fight alone. We must let our representatives know that this backdoor gun grab is unacceptable. GOA recommends calling your representative to tell them that you oppose any infringement of the Second Amendment.

While we’re at this, let’s not rush to get these people out the government in November. This kind of rule will not last for two more years.
