Customize your gun case with the KOR VRS Suspension System

Foam inserts in gun cases are a tried and tested method for transporting firearms in a safe manner. They do have a downside. Once you’ve cut or plucked the foam to fit your gun, there’s no turning back. The case will only fit the gun until/unless it is replaced with foam. KOR Cases developed the VRS (Vacuum Rigidizing Structure Suspension System) for this reason. The VRS system replaces the foam in your case so that you can transport any firearm at any time.

The KOR VRS Suspension System

The VRS Suspension System, constructed of MIL-SPEC fabrics, is durable and can be used repeatedly. The system replaces your existing foam bottom in your gun case. This eliminates the need to cut or pluck the foam to fit. The system measures 35″x15.5″x3″, and is compatible with Pelican 1700 cases, Pelican V700 cases, SKB Series3614 cases, Boyt H41XD case, and Nanuk Case 985. The system adds only 3.16 pounds to your case’s overall weight.

The interior of the system is made up of rigidizing beads which form around your firearms and accessories. It is essentially a bean bag that forms itself around whatever is inside the case. The technology is based upon vacuum splints and provides the same strong hold on contents.

Fill the system with air by using the included pump. It will look like a cushion at this point. Once the insert is full, you can place your firearms and gear on top and adjust it as desired. Use the pump to remove air or “pull vacuum” and the soft, pliable cushions will become a solid structure that conforms to whatever is placed on top.

Fill it up again and repeat the process when you’re ready to transport another firearm or accessory.

“The patented KOR Cases Medium VRS insert customizes case interiors, and secures contents through conforming to everything inside,” said G.P. Searle is the founder of KOR Cases.

“By replacing your existing gun case’s bottom layer of foam, with the VRS insert you can transport any guns from your collection without having to cut, pluck, or pay for foam. The system also prevents the optics from shifting, so you don’t need to remove any accessories.
