Download the Handy “Cheat Sheet” Ballistics Drop Chart to Your Rifle

November 19, 2021. Need a simple and easy-to-use drop-chart for your rifle? You can tape it to the buttstock. Hornady’s Online Ballistics Calculator is a great option. This easy-to-use calculator will calculate your drops accurately and produce a handy cheat sheet that you can print out and attach to your rifle. Here’s how it works. Simply input the G1 or G7 BC values as well as muzzle velocity, bullet weight, zero range and other variables into the Ballistics Calculator Page. To view the complete chart (shown below), click “Calculate”. Click “View Cheatsheet”, then the 4-line Drop Chart (shown below) will open. You can click “Print” to save your work. The online ballistics calculator is simple to use. You can choose between the basic version and an advanced version that includes more environmental variables such as temperature, humidity, pressure, and air pressure. You can also input wind speed and wind angle to calculate wind drift numbers. You can easily see that come-ups on the trajectory output are listed in both MOA or Mils, so it will work with either MOA-based clicks, or Mil-based clicks. There are many more advanced ballistics solvers online (such as the excellent Applied Ballistics Online calculator), but the Hornady calculater is simple and straightforward to use. This is a good option if you are looking for a simple drop chart.
