The EOTECH EFLX has recently entered the optics industry to great fanfare. At our latest Athlon Outdoors Rendezvous, the company revealed its new FDE version. It was not ready for prime-time at our event, but it was officially announced at SHOT Show 20,23. FDE pistol owners can now match their optics accordingly. The EOTECH EFLX FDE is the same sight that the black version. Only the color has been changed. The FDE version has a heavy-duty aluminum housing that is 33 feet water resistant. The square viewing area allows for fast target acquisition due to its large field of view. EFLX can be ordered with either a 3 MOA or 6 MOA dot. It can also be adjusted for windage and elevation at a rate of 1 MOA per click. The sight can be used in any lighting conditions thanks to its 9 brightness settings. These settings include 7 daytime, 1 bright, and 1 setting for Gen I-III+ night vision devices. (Photo by Alex Landeen). The EFLX runs on one CR2032 battery and provides approximately 25,000 hours for the 3 MOA dots at a brightness level 5. It also has a 20,000-hour runtime for the 6 MOA dots at a brightness level 5. The top-loading compartment for the battery allows you to change your battery whenever it is due without affecting zero. The EFLX is designed for use with the Leupold DeltaPointPro footprint and can be mounted directly to any slide that has been properly milled. You can mount it via a rear dovetail adaptor. It can also be mounted to a rifle, shotgun, or other firearm as a 1x solution if a magnified optical is present. Editor’s note: The EFLX FDE was unveiled at SHOT Show 2023. A representative told me that availability would take approximately six months. So, keep your eyes peeled. Although six months may seem like a long time, it will be here sooner than you think.
