Federal has introduced the 30 Super Carry cartridge to shake up concealed carry.
Since 9×19 Parabellum has been the standard for concealed carry, manufacturers have been trying to make the smallest pistols possible. Federal began work on the Federal 30 Super Carry. The new cartridge has the same lethality of 9mm, but a smaller case. This allows guns to fire it to be smaller and still fit more bullets into their mags. Federal claims that the cartridge is accurate, and if it becomes popular enough to be adopted, 30 Super Carry could change the game. What are the 30 Super Carry offers?
30 Super Carry was designed from the ground up as a concealed carry cartridge. It is a 100-grain projectile with a diameter of.312, which offers similar performance to 9mm. Federal offers the cartridge in two versions: HST hollow points for defense or American Eagle FMJs to train. Federal describes 30 Super Carry as more effective than.380 ACP and has higher capacities than 9mm. It was also slightly better than 9mm in penetration, expansion, and energy on target. Although the new cartridge isn’t as effective as the 9mm, it offers many advantages over the 9mm while losing a lot of performance. The New Guns

Federal has been working with Smith & Wesson, Nighthawk Custom and Nighthawk Custom to bring you four 30 Super Carry pistol options in conjunction with the cartridge’s launch.
