Anderson Manufacturing is best known for making AR-15 components. The company has just announced the A4 Series, a new line complete AR rifles/pistols. The Anderson A4 Series is made up of three rifles and a pistol that are all chambered for 5.56 NATO. It was originally designed by Anderson Manufacturing, which is best known for making AR-15 components. Only the 20-inch rifle model in the A4 Series is identical to the M16A4, however, all four guns have flat-top uppers, traditional A frame front sight blocks, and classic-styled furniture. These guns would be more similar to the M16A4s if there were detachable carry handles. However, all four models come with Magpul rear sights and a set of Magpul front sight blocks. The A4 Series is a basic AR-15 that offers many options for shooters looking to upgrade to a higher-end AR-15. Anderson A4 Series:
AM-15 A4 Carbine rifle
This is the most basic model of the A4 Series. It features a 16-inch barrel with a M4 profile barrel and a collapsible BUTT stock. It features a carbine-length gas system, handguards, and a 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium barrel. All models have a 1:8 twist.
AM-15 A4 Carbine Pistol
This model is the shortest in the A4 Series, and it also has the only legal pistol. It measures 10.5 inches, with a 1:8 twist barrel. It comes with an SBA3 Tactical pistol bracket instead of a buttstock.
AM-15 A4 Mid Length Rifle
This model is very similar to the A4 Carbine Rifle, but it features mid-length gas and handguards rather than carbine-length. The barrel’s 16-inch length is also different due to its 1:9 twist rate, and the government-profile contour.
AM-15 A4 Rifle
This model is very similar to the real M16A4, and would make a great clone if it had a detachable handle. It features a 20-inch barrel with a 1:9 twist and a rifle-length gas system.
