Anderson Manufacturing’s AM-15 AR style rifles have a solid reputation among affordable AR-15s. The company just announced the expansion of the AM-15 Precision Series. The Precision Series features four new rifle models. It was designed to offer shooters affordable and accurate AR-15 options. The trigger is a crisp 4.5-pound pull with an instant reset. The stock can be adjusted for comb height or length of pull. The stock is also ambidextrous and includes QD sling mount point points. It also has an adjustable rubber buttpad. All AM-15 Precision Series models can also be chambered for 5.56x45mm NATO. However, most major features differ among the variants. AM-15 Marksman. This model features an 18-inch taper profile barrel, a 15 inch M-LOK handguard, and a Night Stalker flashlight hider. It also comes with a Magpul K2 grip, 20-round PMAG and a Night Stalker flash hider. The MSRP is $899.99. AM-15 Sharpshooter. The AM-15 Precision Sharpshooter is more geared towards long-range shooting. The only difference between this model, and the Marksman, is that the Sharpshooter has a 20-inch barrel with a taper profile barrel. This barrel provides extra velocity for greater accuracy at long range. AM-15 Precision Varminter. The MSRP is $899.99. This is a great feature for varmint hunters looking to take advantage of opportunities that may arise from a barrel still hot from previous engagements. The Varminter also has a Hogue rubber beavertail grip and an aluminum tube handguard. The handguard is still made from lightweight T6 aluminum and has M-LOK slots. The MSRP for the AM-15 Competitor is $949.99. The Competitor is designed for competition use and features an 18-inch taper profile barrel. It also has an adjustable Anderson gas block, a low mass Anderson bolt carrier group, and Anderson’s Stallion muzzlebraking to reduce recoil. It also features the same rubber Hogue grip and the same M-LOK handguard (15 inches) as the Sharpshooter or Marksman. The Competitor comes with a 30-round STANAG Magazine and an ambidextrous selector.
