Riton Optics is constantly expanding its catalog, and the latest addition to the collection is the 5 TACTIX Riflescope. It’s a low-power variable optical (LPVO) in the first focal plane with an illuminated MRAD reticle. While many LPVOs don’t come with a 30mm tube, the 5TACTIX 1-10×24 has one. It should be easier to find mounts that are compatible. Riton describes the scope’s fast-focus eyepiece as a tradeoff for its 24mm objective. The 6061 T6 aluminum tube is also dry nitrogen purged, and has Riton HD glass that offers 99.5% light transmittance and a Riton performance coating. The 30T reticle features a red illuminated MRAD christmas tree reticle and six levels of brightness adjustment. The windage and the elevation turrets have audible adjustments of 1/10 MRAD and are zero-resettable. The 5 TACTIX is 100 percent waterproof, fogproof and shockproof. It was also tested to 1200 Gs for shockproofness. The scope has two different heights for the throw levers to adjust the magnification from 1X to 10X: 14mm or flush mount. Riton also offers 11mm and 8mm levers. The MSRP of the scope is $959.99.
