First Look at the Antimatter Industries Scopeswitch

Antimatter Industries just announced the Scopeswitch. This new accessory allows you to adjust the zoom of your scope via a slider located on the handguard. In an industry where innovation tends to be incremental and predictable, innovative ideas are always welcomed. The latest of these comes from Antimatter Industries, and the system called the Scopeswitch. This is done by combining an optics mounting, a rail mounted handguard slider, and a cable. The Scopeswitch, when installed and configured, links the optic’s zoom control with the slider on the handleguard. This allows the user to adjust the magnification by simply moving the slider forward or rearward with their support hand. Antimatter Industries says that this system is best suited to scopes with easy-to-twist Zooms. The optic mount portion is made of 7075 T6 aircraft grade aluminum and 4140 Nitrided Steel Lugs. The optical centerline is 1.93 inches. The unit itself adds approximately 10 ounces to a rifle set-up. Antimatter Industries claims the Scopeswitch will work with a variety of LPVO Scopes and any rifle with a minimum of 10.5 inches barrel length and 11.5 inch Picatinny rail. The company claims that the accessory can be reversed in direction and works with both FFP and SFP Scopes. The company warns that it can be difficult to install, and may require a gunsmith’s help. Antimatter Industries claims that the main advantage of the Scopeswitch product is that users can retain their C-clamp grip while using it. It is possible to adjust the magnification by simply moving your support hand. This allows for rapid adjustments without losing sight. It’s an innovative concept and it will be fascinating to see how well it is received in the competition shooting, tactical shooting and hunting circles. The Scopeswitch will initially be available only with a 30-mm mount. However, 34-mm mounts are coming soon. MSRP starts at $599 and you can currently sign up to be notified once they come in stock. For more information, please visit antimatterindustries.com.More Long-Range Shooting Stuff:NEXT STEP: Download Your Free Storm Tactical Printable Target Pack62 Printable MOA Targets with DOT Drills – Rifle Range in YARDSThis impressive target pack from our friends at Storm Tactical contains62 printable targetsfor rifle and handgun range use.
