Trijicon does not release new models very often, despite being the leader in the pistol red-dot market. It’s exciting when Trijicon has something new to announce. The RCR is a closed-emitter optic that mounts using Trijicon’s RMR footprint. The RCR is made of 7075-T6 Aluminum and is waterproof up to 66 feet. It is designed to be durable for serious military or law enforcement use. It has 10 brightness settings, including three for night vision, one for “super bright”, and a red dot with a precision of 3.25 MOA. It should also be compatible with any iron sights that were compatible with the original RMR. It eliminates the need to re-zero your optic after changing the CR2032 batteries. Trijicon claims that the RCR will run continuously at brightness level 5 for up to six years. The MSRP for the RMR HD is $849. Trijicon RMR HD. While it has the same footprint, general profile and size as the original RMR the RMR HD’s larger window is the most noticeable change. This will allow for a clearer view of the target and make it easier to locate the dot while presenting the pistol. It also has 9 brightness settings, three for night vision, and one for “super bright”. These can be selected either manually or automatically using the optic’s sensor. Both models can toggle between a dot/circle/dot 55-MOA reticle. Trijicon claims that the CR2032 battery in the RMR HD can be used continuously for more than three years on brightness setting 5.
