Ruger just announced a new Custom Shop variant for the Ruger Precision Rifle, chambered to 6.5 Creedmoor. The new custom Ruger Precision Rifle was developed with the input of Team Ruger Captain Doug Koenig. It is made from chrome-moly stainless and free-floating and has a slightly heavier contour than the standard model. The muzzle is threaded at 5/8×24 and has an APA muzzle brake. The M-LOK handguard housing barrel is also free-floated. Like the standard model, the Ruger Custom Shop model now features an adjustable TriggerTech trigger that uses Frictionless Release Technology. The trigger is flat with a red finish. This gives the rifle a unique Ruger Custom Shop look. The standard Ruger Precision Rifle features a contoured magazine well that helps to engage barriers better, but the custom version has a protruding and textured barrier stop. Ruger claims the stop will improve stability and repeatability. Ruger claims that the stop will provide better stability and repeatability. Target grids and bullseye sizes can be downloaded in MOA.
