Dead Air Silencers is a leading name in the suppressor market. However, their extensive catalog has always been missing a dedicated 5.56 option. Recently unveiled at NRAAM 2022, the company is now offering the 5.56 Sierra-5 suppressor in two configurations.Sierra-5 Xeno (left) and Sierra-5 KeyMo (right). As a dedicated 5.56 suppressor, the Sierra-5 is reported to be supremely quiet, even during sustained fire. The Sierra-5’s 1.55-inch diameter tubes and baffles are made of stainless steel. They are Stellite so that it can be fully-auto rated without any restrictions on barrel length. The front caps can be used with Dead Air’s R-Series mounts. This allows the Sierra-5 to attach using either KeyMo, Xeno or fixed mounts. You can choose to purchase the suppressor as the Sierra-5 Xeno, or the Sierra-5 KeyMo. Each will come with the appropriate flash hider mounts and adaptors, as the name suggests. The KeyMo adaptor is about a half inch longer than the Xeno model (5.72inches versus 6.27inches), but they have the same profile and tube diameter. The KeyMo Sierra-5 weighs slightly more with adaptors attached (15.4 ounces versus 13.3 ounces). However, both models have the same minimalist profile and tube diameter. The Sierra-5 was designed from the ground up to be an exclusive 5.56 suppressor. It sounds incredible. It is lightweight and durable enough to be used by professionals. Each suppressor will ship with the appropriate adaptor, mount and tools for installation, and both models should be available through dealers soon. For more on Dead Air Silencers, please visit deadairsilencers.com.More Suppressor Info:NEXT STEP: Download Your Free Storm Tactical Printable Target Pack62 Printable MOA Targets with DOT Drills – Rifle Range in YARDSThis impressive target pack from our friends at Storm Tactical contains62 printable targetsfor rifle and handgun range use.
