FN America just released the FN 15 DMR3, which has updated its AR-15 line of designated marksmen.
FN began manufacturing M16s for the U.S. Military in the late 1980s and has been one of the largest producers of AR-style firearms worldwide ever since. The company introduced the FN 15 series in 2014, the first AR-15s that were commercially available for civilian use. FN has continued to innovate the platform since then. The FN 15 series includes tactical variants such as the TAC, SRP, and DMR lines. The DMR series was in its 2nd generation. FN America just released the 3rd-generation model with FN 15 DMR3. Most of the new features on the FN 15 DMR3 were designed to improve accuracy and reduce felt reoil. The 1/8 twist 18 inch barrel is cold hammer-forged and chrome-lined. It has a hybrid profile that offers the perfect balance between accuracy, weight, and both. It is made from FN’s “machine gun barrel” steel and, thanks to the railed guard, is free-floated. Each gun will come with a SureFire proComp muzzle brake. All these features combined should dramatically reduce recoil impact, and allow for faster follow-up shots. Each FN 15 DMR3 has a Geissele two-stage precision G2S Trigger. This should allow for better accuracy. Each rifle will come with a 30-round magazine and will be available in three finish options.
