The European American Armory Corporation (or EAA) has just announced a new Turkish pistol import. The Girsan MC 14T is a pistol that can be chambered for.380 ACP. It looks largely like the Beretta Model 86. It’s chambered for.380 ACP and is reminiscent of the Model 86. The most distinctive feature, which makes it different from other Beretta Cheetah series clones, is that it has a tip-up barrel. Firstly, the Model 86 had a single-stack 8 round magazine. The MC 14T has a double-stack, 13-round mag, similar to other.380 ACP Beretta Cheetah models. Girsan’s new pistol is also equipped with an accessory rail, checkered composite grips, and an ambidextrous manual thumbsafe. Anyone who has used a Beretta Cheetah model before will be familiar with the rest of the MC 14T. This includes its DA/SA trigger, fixed iron sights and checkered composite grips. The tip-up barrel is primarily targeted at those who have difficulty operating semi-auto handguns. While other companies have tried to address this issue with slides that were simpler to use, the MC 14T may be a more appealing option for those who don’t want to handle a slide at all.
