Taylor’s & Company announced the 10mm 1911 FS Tactical recently. This marks the addition to the 1911 line of 1911 firearms. While most of these have historical aesthetics, Taylor’s & Company is now releasing tactical models. The company released a full-size 9mm model, but now the company has added a coveted chambering option with the 10mm 1911 FS Tactical. This denotes the pistol’s 5-inch barrel and full size frame. Taylor’s & Company may import other sizes of this pistol in the future. The 1911’s tactical features are not as well-developed as its competitors, due to the absence of an accessory rail and an optics-ready slide. These features include an extended beavertail and a skeletonized trigger, as well as an ambidextrous safety. The G.I.-inspired models also have an adjustable rear sight and a fiber optic front sight. Additionally, the grips are made of black G10 rather than wood. Taylor’s & Company’s CEO, Tammy Loy, stated that the magazine can hold 8 rounds.
