For new shooters, the TEN Commandments for Firearm Safety

August 14th 2021
August is National Shooting Sports Month. Through its “+ONE” campaigns the NSSF encourages gun owners to invite a new shooter onto their range. Our readers are challenged to make a commitment to bring at least one new shooter to the shooting sports in the coming year.
Make sure to inform the new shooter about the 10 Commandments of Firearm Safety.

The +ONE Movement — MissionThe +ONE campaign aims to increase the number of shooters. The basic idea is to make a commitment as a mentor and encourage at least one new shooter to get involved. The NSSF states that if just one third of America’s recreational shooters adds a new person to the shooting sport, it will ensure a strong future for generations.
