Today’s Friday Feast features two of our favorite things — Elk meat and Italian pasta. Emily Rupertus, the article author, shares our love for pasta: It’s my favorite food! So I couldn’t resist sharing this Classic Elk Lasagna with you when I found it! This is the perfect way to enjoy a classic comfort food. After assembling the Lasagna, cover it with tin foil and bake it in a 400? oven. Bake the Elk Lasagna in a 400? oven for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and add more cheese. Bake covered for ten minutes more. Ingredients
1/2 package of Lasagna Noodles
Ground Elk Meat 1 lb (you can substitute groundvenison or antelope).
1 Medium Sweet Onion (chopped)
2 Cloves Garlic (chopped).
2 tablespoons Olive Oil
3 Cups Tomato Sauce
32 oz. Ricotta Cheese
1 Cup Parmesan Cheese
1 8 oz. Fresh Mozzarella Cheese (sliced)
2 eggsBake in 12 – 14? Lodge Cast Iron Skillet
