Galco Parabellum 2.0 Shoulder Hoster
The Parabellum 2.0 is a hybrid construction that combines leather comfort with Kydex retention. The Parabellum uses top-grain leather as its base and Premium Center Cut Steerhide. The leather base is fitted with a custom-molded Kydex holster that fits 1911s from top firearm manufacturers. These include AMT and Colt, Kimbers, Para USA, Remingtons, Ruger Smith & Wesson Springfields, and Taurus.
The Parabellum is designed to be comfortable and features Galco’s latest wide comfort harness. The harness measures 2.5 inches at the shoulder and provides additional weight distribution for everyday wear. The harness’s strap shape can be recontoured to provide excellent concealability even when worn with an open jacket.
The Parabellum replaces the older screw-and-post design with a key-hole harness fastener that is tool-free and more secure. The Parabellum is more secure, easier to assemble, and has a lower chance of fastener failure.
A reinforced retention strap holds the firearm in place. To draw the pistol, simply pull the 1911 out of the horizontally placed holster by releasing the retention strap with your thumb. The strap, which is placed between the firing pin and hammer, adds another layer of security. The opposite side also features two open-front magazine carriers with rubberized passive retention ramps. This allows you to reload quickly without the need for encumbering straps.
The Parabellum can take optional tie-downs, although it doesn’t come with them. This will help stabilize the holster when worn. The Kydex sleeves can also accept most optics.
