Wrap frames offer the best protection but come with a price. They can also obscure your peripheral vision. Gatorz’s new Marauder frame is a solution. The new frame provides the same protection as a wrap frame, but without compromising the essential peripherals.
Gatorz Marauder Ballistic Glasses
The frames are made of lightweight, durable aircraft-grade billet 7075-5T6 aluminum and have a Cerakote coating to protect them from further wear. They are as strong as the lenses, but don’t add weight to your nose bridge.
You can adjust the nosepiece and frame to make it fit your needs. The Marauder frames offer the same protection as wrap frames but with peripheral views. The temples are adjustable and thin enough to fit under helmets or ear protection.
Gatorz lenses are high-impact resistant polycarbonate MILSPEC lenses that meet MIL PRF 32432A Clause 4.8.4 Protection against ballistic fragmentation. They also conform to the ANSI/ISEA Z87.1 2015 Standard. Additional tests have been done to ensure that the lenses can withstand two hits from an.15-caliber projectile at 700-725 feet per minute without cracking or dislodging.
There are 11 options in the Marauder range. Three are ballistic and eight are standard EDC sunglasses. Even the standard lenses have impact resistance to protect your eyes from normal impacts.
Clear, Smoke, and Inferno are the ballistic options. There are also polarized and unpolarized options. The Black Smoke is the non-polarized option. The polarized mirrored options in Silver, Green and Blue, Gold, Sunburst, and Smoke Lens are also available.
