Glock 43 vs Taurus GX4

We are comparing the Taurus GX4 to Glock 43. Glock 43 was the first micro-nine pistol to achieve mass commercial success. It was smaller than the Smith and Wesson Shield and contained six rounds of nine-millimeter ammunition in a small pistol. It was a huge deal at the time. The Sig P365, which offered ten rounds in a size similar to the Sig P365, was introduced. Taurus is now a competitor in the small micro nine concealed-carry market. Taurus GX4 vs Glock43 is significant because you will likely be using these concealed carry firearms. Weight is an important factor. However, the Taurus GX4 has five more rounds than the Glock 43, so I don’t think there’s much difference. Taurus GX4Find In-Stock Taurus GX4s
Pre-OwnedGuns.com – If you are looking for the smallest gun, the Glock 43 is the best choice. Five extra rounds for a gun that is just barely larger is something you shouldn’t overlook. The Glock 43 is a better choice if you plan on carrying this gun in your pocket. It has a shorter grip and a smaller slide. Other dimensions make it easier to carry in your pocket. The smaller sizes won’t make a big difference if you carry it inside your waistband. These guns have a very different ergonomic design. The grip on Glock 43 is 10th of an in shorter than the Taurus GX4. This means that I can’t grab as much pinky on the Glock 43 than I can on the Taurus GX4. When comparing ergonomics of Glock 43 and Taurus GX4, the grip on GX4 seems more full. The Taurus GX4 has modularity, which allows you to swap out the back straps. This is the only pistol in its class that allows you to do this. The grip is larger and fills your hand more. There is also a greater distance between the front and back straps. The Glock 43 feels great, but it is a lot more slick than the Glock 43. The Glock 43 may be considered one of the most ergonomic Glocks, but it doesn’t feel nearly as comfortable in the hand when compared to the Taurus GX4. The Taurus GX4 grip is a little more comfortable than the Glock 43. My pinky hangs out barely on both guns but more on the Glock 43. This is a major downside. The ergonomics of Taurus GX4 make your hand feel higher than the grip. Both guns do this but the Taurus GX4 does so better than the Glock 43. Glock 43Glock43s in-Stock

New and Pre-OwnedGuns.com Texture. As I mentioned earlier, the surface on the Taurus GX4 is better than the Glock 43. The Taurus GX4 has a sandpaper-like finish all around. It’s aggressive but not too bold to cause skin irritation when carried inside the waistband. It’s simply a very effective texture on a gun of this size. The Glock 43 has smaller squares and a Gen4 texture. This Gen 4 texture is a lot more smooth than the texturing on Taurus GX4. The Glock 43 feels slippery. Is it usable, yes. Yes, but there is no comparison in texture between the GX4 and Glock 43. Slide The slide of the Glock 43 slides is thinner and doesn’t have forward cocking serations. It only has rear-cocking serrations. As a large male who handles firearms regularly, it’s easy to rack. The Taurus GX4 slide is wider and has forward and back cocking serrations which are deeper and more aggressive than the Glock 43. It would be difficult to argue that the Glock 43 has an easier-to-use and better-looking slide than the Glock 43. The Taurus GX4 is more modern and has a slide that’s more contemporary with more aggressive serrations. The Taurus GX4 slide sight setup is very pleasing. The Glock 43 usually comes with plastic slot filler sights. These sights should be replaced immediately with real sights. Taurus GX4 comes with metal sights. The front site has a paint dot, while the rear site is blocked with a U-Notch with horizontal serrations. The factory has a better view of the Taurus GX4. I wouldn’t mind carrying the sights on the Taurus GX4 but I would be reluctant to carry the factory sights on the Glock 43. Aftermarket Sights Taurus GX4 and Glock 43 These guns have identical options. Taurus was brilliant and used Glock aftermarket websites, Cara Glack Cuts. The Taurus GX4 can accept any aftermarket sights that the Glocks use. The Taurus GX4 and Glock 43 have identical aftermarket options. Red Dot Optics: Currently, neither gun has red dot optics. The Taurus GX4 is expected to be available in an optics-ready model soon. I have heard that the guns are available. They are just waiting for parts to mount the optics. This gun is likely to be set up for a Shield-style cut. It can take the Shield Sig Romeo Zero, Holosun 507k and Shield Sights. Controls Safety Taurus GX4 and Glock 43 Both firearms have no external safety. It may be available on the Taurus GX4 in future, but it is unlikely that it will ever be available on the Glock. You’ll have to look elsewhere if you need a thumb safety. Taurus GX4Find In-Stock Taurus GX4s

Triggers for Pre-OwnedGuns.com guns are quite different. Below, I will go over each one in detail. Glock 43 Trigger: The Glock 43 trigger is the standard Glock trigger. After you release the trigger safety, you will feel some take-up. Then you’ll reach a wall. Once you reach that wall, pressure will begin to break down and you will fill a solid break. This gun feels like a mix of a Gen 3 trigger and a Gen 4 trigger. It doesn’t have a rolling break and has a stiff wall. It is a heavy trigger to pull. The Glock 43 is a good choice if you prefer a predictable trigger. It resets without any problems when it comes time to reset, and again, there is that stiff break. Glock 43Glock43s In-Stock

Pre-OwnedGuns.com Taurus GX4 Triggers. The Taurus GX4 triggers have a very short take-up. This trigger is a bit more forward than the Glock 43’s trigger. The shape of the trigger shoe for the Taurus GX4 is also something I like, although it will come down to personal preference. Once you’ve given up the slack, and released the trigger safety, you will hit a hard wall. You’ll hit what I call a soft break at that hard wall. Although it is more difficult than the Glock 43 break, this break feels much easier. The gun resets at the end of this break. The trigger on the Glock 43 feels a lot better. It’s predictable, yet it has the shootability and control of a rolling brake trigger. This feature is a great idea and Taurus did a great job. Slide Lock Taurus GX4 Vs Glock43 The slide lock on these guns is located on the left side. There is no ambidextrous option. The Glock 43 slide stop is made of stamped sheet metal, which is rolled over. It is usable. It’s easy to push up on the slide and engage it manually. The slide can also be dropped quickly and is easy to reach. It would have been easier to use if the slide stop had more texture. If you wish to replace the part, there are many aftermarket options. The slide stop on the Taurus GT4 is fantastic. This is my favorite slide stop. This slide stop is easy to use. It’s made of molded polymer so it won’t get shiny like some metal slid stoppers you might see on a gun. It’s not sharp in any direction and can be dropped quickly. You can also manually lock the slide back. The slide lock on the Taurus GX4 was a great idea by Taurus. Glock 43Glock43s In-Stock

Magazine Release on Pre-OwnedGuns.com New and Pre-OwnedGuns.com Both magazines are in the same position, have a sharp edge at their top corners, and are both easy to reach. The Glock 43’s plastic magazine release is less authoritative than that on the Taurus GX4. Your hand will likely prevent the Glock 43 magazine from falling unless you break the grip. Taurus GX4 magazine drops almost 90% of the times for me without breaking my grip. It will likely not drop if you have larger hands. If you have smaller hands, it may drop a lot more often. Although I cannot give any benefit to the magazine release, I can say that it is advantageous to have the magazines drop off the Taurus GX4. Taurus GX4Find In-Stock Taurus GX4s

Pre-OwnedGuns.com Taurus GX4 Magazine vs Glock 43 Magwell Both of these guns are similar in terms of the magwell. These groups are so small that your hand will act as a funnel when you reload the magazine. To aid in reloading the firearm, the grips have no angle on their inside. It’s not clear if this is necessary for a gun this large. It’s much easier to load the Taurus GX4 metal magazines than the plastic-coated magazines into a Glock 34. It’s simply the nature of the materials used. Quality I find it hard to believe that I am saying this, but these pistols seem identical in quality. Although the Taurus GX4’s polymer seems slightly more expensive, the slide quality seems to be better on the Taurus GX4. Taurus GX4 was a major step up in their game. Taurus G3C and their other pistols seem to be much cheaper than Glocks Sigs CZs, Sigs and other firearms. The Taurus GX4 is an exception to this rule. Glock 43Glock43s In-Stock

New and Pre-OwnedGuns.com aftermarket There are many more parts for the Glock 43. It’s been in the market for a lot longer time than the Taurus GX4. But we will likely see many more aftermarket options on the Taurus GX4 soon. For now, the Glock 43 vs. Taurus GX4 is clear. Glock 43 vs Taurus GX4: These guns are very different from each other in aesthetics. The Glock 43 has an old-school look. The gun’s front does not have any light rail, which reminds me of the Gen2 Glock 19s. The Taurus GX4 also has no light route rail, but the gun is squarer. It has a more modern appearance. It’s not clear how these looks will hold up over time. However, I would bet that the Glock 43 will look better over time. Despite that, the Taurus GX4 looks much better. The Taurus GX4 looks sleeker and more modern. Shooting These guns was a shock. The Taurus GX4 is a great performer, and shoots much better than the Glock 43. Glock 43 was a great gun for its time, but guns such as the Sig P365 have put Glock 43 on par. It was more difficult to shoot than the micro nines of a higher capacity and had more muzzle flip. The Taurus GX4 is no exception. It does shoot better than Glock 43. Glock 43Glock 43s in-Stock

New and Pre-OwnedGuns.com has the best selection of pre-owned and new guns. The Taurus GX4 is a solid performer, even though I am a Glock guy. The Taurus GX4 is a better shooter than the Glock 43, so I have to give the win for the Taurus GX4. Glock 43 vs Taurus GX4: Price/Value Taurus GX4 is significantly more expensive than the Taurus GX4. The Glock 43 has an MSRP $538. The MSRP for the Taurus GX4 gun is $399. Both guns are typically $50 below MSRP at retailers. The Taurus GX4 is definitely a better gun for the price.
