GLOCK Donates $50,000 for Civilian Marksmanship Program

September 29th 2023GLOCK Donates $50k to Civilian Marksmanship ProgramEarlier in the month, GLOCK Inc., a gunmaker, presented a check for $50,000 to the Civilian Marksmanship Program at the CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park, Alabama, during the GLOCK Sport Shooting Foundation’s (GSSF) annual match. GLOCK has supported the CMP and Talladega Marksmanship Park for many years, donating thousands of dollars to the organization every year. Josh Dorsey, Bob Radecki, National Sales Manager and Bret Lankford, the CMP’s acting Park Manager and Business Development Executive presented the $50,000 check. Stefanie Teaford. Teaford said, “We are always grateful to GSSF for their support of the CMP.” We’ve been able use their substantial contribution to enhance our impact on the marksmanship communities through organized opportunities, and by distributing fundamental and safety instructions to countless individuals throughout the country. “About CMP’s Talladega Marksmanship ParkSince its opening in 2015, Talladega Marksmanship Park has been a popular destination for firearm enthusiasts and guests seeking practice, competition, and mindful learning opportunities. The park hosts rifle, shotgun, and archery competitions all year round. It features CMP electronic targets, which are only available at the 500-acre facility. The CMP Unknown Distance Range Talladega allows guests to practice on a field of more than 100 steel targets out to 625 yards and provides additional marksmanship fun. The public is welcome to tour the grounds or test their firearms at any time. The Club House also has a Pro Shop, which is open all day during park hours. It features an exclusive collection of rifles and ammunition, as well as marksmanship accessories, CMP memorabilia, and more. The CMP Talladega Park website has more information. The Civilian Marksmanship Program, a 501(c),(3) non-profit corporation, is federally chartered. It is dedicated both to firearm safety training and marksmanship competition promotion.
