The author writes: “In the second installment of metallic cartridge reloading we will follow the sequence involved in reloading rifle cartridges and refining metallic cartridge loads. These steps are based upon the use of a one-stage reloading machine and a separate priming device. The article, for example, states that the proper seating depth is crucial when explaining Step 13. Bullet Seating. If the bullet protrudes too far, the cartridge may not fit through the magazine of the gun or fail to chamber. Too little and the powder chamber is reduced in volume, and pressure is increased. Neck tension is important. Bullets that do not seat with resistance can be held loosely by the collar and driven back into the case, especially in semiautomatic weapons.Here’s an example of the valuable advice provided in these articles.
