July 5, 2022. Do you need to pull bullets from cases? There are two options: lever-actuated, collet type pullers or inertial-hammer-style pullers. But there is a quicker way. Grip-N-Pull bullet pulling tool is a precision-machined hand clamp, which works with multiple calibers. Grip-N–Pull is a single tool that can replace many other tools and is faster to use. It works well with larger bullets with moderate neck tension. It works well with larger bullets loaded with moderate neck tension. This is not recommended for factory-crimped cartridges. One tip for smaller bullet diameters: You can use the tool to notch one size smaller that the nominal bullet diameter. How to Use the Grip ‘N Pull
Place your loaded case in the shell-holder of a reloading presse. The ram should be raised so that the bullet is visible at the top of your press. Next, select the appropriate slot in the Grip-N-Pull for your caliber. Securely clasp the bullet and then lower the ram. The bullet is released from the case-neck and retained in the tool. It’s fast and easy. Bullets with small diameters should not be damaged if there isn’t any neck tension (or a tight crimp).
This video shows that the Grip-N-Pull works well for larger-diameter bullets. However, slippage can occur with smaller-diameter projectiles or those with shorter bearing surfaces. You will need to grip very hard if there is a lot neck tension. This can cause your hand to hurt. Bullets can also get damaged. (NOTE: It may be more practical to use the next-smallest slot for smaller bullets. E.g. Use the.22 Slot to receive.243 bullets. Four Grip-N-Pull Models Available
Grip-N–Pull bullet pullers are available in multiple calibers. The Standard Rifle Grip-N-Pull can pull bullets in these calibers:.17 to.20,.22 to.24,.25 to.26,.27 to.28 and.30.
