The Henderson Gen 3 case trimmer uses a tri-trim 3-way cutter that can be adjusted to fit different case necks. Three-way cutters can trim to length and chamfer both the inside and out simultaneously. This trimmer features a 1700 RPM spindle with a custom DC motor that was made in the USA. It is made from billet aluminum with a taper lock cutting head. It is consistent to 0.002?” It can be used with at least the same brand of brass. The collets can be interchanged with Forster case trimmer colllets. They are Brown & Sharpe-style collets. There are currently four collets available from Henderson, one of which is included with each machine. John’s.284 Win brass fit over the pilot well, but other users might need to adjust their case necks to accommodate their pilot. The Henderson trimmer is demonstrated in action in the video. The case moves inward towards the cutter blade precisely thanks to the dual horizontal support shafts. The Taper Lock cutter offers a 14-degree inside and 30-degree outside chamfer. The Henderson’s design captures brass shavings well and ensures that the trimming process is consistent from case to case.
