Holosun, a world-renowned manufacturer of electronic optics has just launched the P.ID weaponslight series. Until now, Holosun was primarily focused on aiming solutions. Although electronic optics were the majority of the company’s product line, it also offered mounts, magnifiers, and lasers. The P.ID weaponlight series was launched, and visible-light illuminators were added to the company’s catalog. Holosun had previously described four models in the original announcement. At the time of writing, however, the company’s website only shows the standard P.ID model. In the near future, the P.ID HC and PI.D Plus models as well as PI.D Dual models are likely to be listed. All PI.D weaponlights, regardless of model, are tough and made from 7075 aluminum housings that are shock-resistant and waterproof. All models will include interchangeable Picatinny Rail interface keys that can be used to optimize with different firearm styles. They are also compatible with most light-bearing duty and light-bearing duty accessories. It can produce 1,000-lumens and 23,000-candelas of output on high mode. On low mode, it has a 60-minute advertised battery life. The battery life at the highest setting is unknown. The PI.D light models use a single 18350 flat-top AA battery. They can be replaced but also recharged with the supplied magnetic USB charging cable. The standard Holosun Holosun PI.D is available now at a MSRP of $135.28. The three remaining models will be available between the end of 2018 and early 2023. All models include Holosun’s limited lifetime guarantee. Target grids and bullseye sizes can be downloaded in MOA.
