Are you following the recommended battery replacement schedule? You know it can be frustrating sometimes, if you are like me. This is especially true for optics that have a bottom battery compartment. This usually means that you will need to re-zero after every battery replacement. Holosun offers solar-powered, rechargeable reflex sights like the SCSMP2-GR for S&W M&P M2.0.
The Holosun SCS–MP2-GR Reflex Sight
For increased durability, the SCS-MP2-GR has a 7075 T6 Aluminium housing construction. The optic is also waterproof to IP67, which means it can withstand submersion and extreme aquatic elements. It can withstand harsh conditions without any problems and it will continue to function reliably.
The SCS-MP2-GR weighs in at 1.3 ounces and has a large optical window-to-housing ratio. To ensure good visual acuity, the 0.77×0.58-inch glass is coated with anti-reflective and filters. The coatings also help reduce glare and limit streaking.
The SCS-MP2-GR is Holosun’s Multi-Reticle System, (MRS), with 32MOA Circle, 2MOA dots, or both. The optic is only available in the Green (540nm), color option. The sight has a 30+/– MOA travel adjustment for windage, elevation on the top and sides with 1 MOA click adjustment.
The optic is parallax-free and provides unlimited eye relief to ensure the best possible target acquisition. The automatic ambient lighting reticle intensity ensures you can see the reticle regardless of lighting conditions.
The SCS-MP2-GR has a 20,000-hour battery backup. The SCS-MP2-GR is able to run in moderate light and will not need to be recharged again. It also has a low power indicator that will notify you if you need to charge the battery.
The SCS-MP2-GR can be mounted directly to the slide on the S&W M&P M2.0 full-size. It is compact in either 9mm (or.40) and easily mounts to any slide without the need to use an adapter plate. It does not fit the Shield or 1.0 models.

It is easy to forget to charge your optic because it is rechargeable. It is important to regularly visit the range and give your optic Vitamin D.
You should also remember to check the low power indicator frequently. A dead optic can make all the difference in a crisis. These situations can be mitigated with a little point-shooting practice.
