The Holosun SCS–MOS Reflex Sight is constructed of grade 5 Titanium. It has an IP67 waterproof rating. The optic is able to withstand harsh conditions and can still work in adverse weather conditions. The housing’s design matches the Glock MOS platform. This includes serrations that match factory Glock slidecocking serrations. While the deck is being installed, it’s low profile allows you to continue using standard Glock iron sights. The SCS-MOS features a 0.77×0.58 coated window that is anti-reflective and coated with Holosun’s Multi-Reticle System (MRS) with Super Green (540nm). LED technology. Users can choose between a 2 MOA dot and 32 MOA circles, or a 32 MOA circle and 2 MOA dots, depending on their operational needs. Zeroing the reticle can be achieved by a 30+/– MOA travel adjustment and 1 MOA click adjustment. The optic housing has adjustment points for windage, elevation and both sides. The SCS-MOS is also parallax-free, and offers unlimited eye relief to ensure optimal target acquisition. The SCS-MOS has self-regulating brightness settings that adjust to the intensity ambient light. This can be overridden if necessary. This feature reduces battery consumption for long-lasting life. The solar rechargeable battery is where the SCSMOS shines. The battery has a life expectancy of 20,000 hours in the worst case scenario and can be recharged every time it is exposed to the sun. The optic can work indefinitely if the right lighting is used. A battery life indicator lets you know how much power you have left. The SCS-MOS currently only works with Glock MOS. Editor’s note: I like anything that can charge using solar power. It’s a great way for things to stay in operation during use. It is important to keep it charged, as there is no other way. It would be a shame if it lost its charge. It is best to keep it charged by hitting the range frequently. You don’t need to worry as long as your skin is exposed to the sun.
