The NRA Blog has created a graphic that explains how firearms work. This infographic, “How Guns Work”, explains the basics of bolt-action rifle operation. It also demonstrates how a centerfire cartridge propels the bullet through a barrel during the “firing order”. This infographic is filled with great artistry, including cutaway drawings that allow you to see inside an action or cartridge.
