How to order an M1 Garand at the CMP
You must be a U.S. citizen, an adult, a member of a CMP-affiliated organization, and have participated in “Marksmanship Activities”* to purchase an M1 Garand. You must join a gun club, and take part in a match or clinic. All ages must provide proof of club membership. The marksmanship requirement does not apply to those older than 60 years. Garands can only be ordered via mail or official CMP Auctions. Orders are filled in order of arrival. All rifles are packed by random selection. Most orders are shipped within 2-4 weeks.
