The Howa M1100 rimfire rifle is relatively inexpensive. The rifle we used was good, but I didn’t like a few things about it. The ergonomics are the only thing that matters. The first is the length of the pull on the tactical version. It was a little too long for me to comfortably pull the trigger without having to stretch my arm/hand. This problem can be solved by offering a shorter, adjustable stock. Many rimfire rifles are available with this option. Second, the grip is blocky. The grip can be uncomfortable when shooting a lot of rounds off a bag or bench. Pete, one of our shooters and I both complained about this. If I had to choose a rifle, I would go with the “rimfire walnut stock” option. There are many positives about this rifle line. The price is reasonable. The rifle was accurate and performed well in harsh field conditions with blowing dirt/dust. The external environmental factors did not affect its accuracy or function. David provides more information in the embedded video. “He also had great results while filming it, so make sure to watch the entire video!”
