December 15, 2022The Int’l Hunter Education Association-USA now offers low-cost online Firearm Basics courses for gun owners. Shotgun Fundamentals These courses were developed with U.S. input. These courses were developed with input from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, state hunters education staff, volunteer hunter educators, and professional hunters. The course also provides information to new firearm owners on Pittman Robertson funding, and how their purchases affect wildlife management in America. “It was logical for us to address general firearms safety in the thirteen million new firearms buyers over the past two years… we believe all new firearms owner can benefit from these training modules,” states Alex Baer, IHEA-USA Executive director. The Firearm Fundamentals course offers all participants the chance to introduce new firearms owners to hunting and sport-shooting in their respective states after they have completed the course.
