The IWA show attendance this year may be lower, but Europe’s civilian firearms industry is thriving, according to data from the European Institute of Hunting and Sporting Arms. “Global civilian firearm production has increased in recent decades, and European production has also increased,” said Nicola Perrotti, IEACS president. In 2020, there were 3.6 million firearms made in Europe, with 2.7 million being pistols and 900,000. These firearms included shotguns and rifles, and 900,000. This represents a 34% increase of European firearms production compared to the previous year,” stated Nicola Perrotti (IEACS president).
About the IWA Outdoor Classics trade show
The IWA Outdoor Classics trade fair was established in 1973 as Germany’s national gunsmith and gun retailer show. The product show began modestly in 1973, with less than 100 exhibitors. IWA Outdoor Classics has grown to be a major event that attracts the most important players in the hunting and security industries. The IWA event is second in importance in the firearm world to America’s SHOT Show. IWA Live Talks – Long Range Shooting and Hunting
