Lapua is releasing cartridge brass for 6mm GT and 300 WSM in 2024. Lapua announced two major additions in its brass line-up. Lapua will begin shipping.300 Winchester Short Magnum cartridge cases in the spring. Lapua will offer 6mm GT brass to authorized Lapua retailers in the fall 2024.
Lapua 6mm GT (6GT) Brass
Lapua’s 6mm GT brass is sure to be a hit with PRS/NRL and varminters looking for a little more capacity than a 6mmBR case. The 6mm GT (aka the 6GT) cartridge is a “bigger Dasher”, designed for PRS/NRL competition. The 6mm GT cartridge was designed to deliver 6mm Dasher accuracy with moderate recoil via a cartridge that had a slightly longer body for better mag-feeding and a longer neck for more seating flexibility. The 6GT has done very well so far in PRS/NRL competition. We may also see the 6GT being used more in mid-range benchrest matches, with the availability of premium Lapua 6mm GT brass. We expect that varminters will also adopt the cartridge, both in 6mm or necked down to.22 caliber.
