Davidson’s has announced its exclusive variant of MC P35 PI OPS. The pistol’s silver cerakote and walnut grips set it apart from the original. The Davidson’s Exclusive Girsan MC P35 PI OS As with the original, the Davidson’s exclusive MC P35 PI OS features an all-steel design. The silver cerakote finish highlights the dramatic lines of the pistol, replacing the original black finish. The finish also adds to the durability of the pistol. All controls, pins and triggers, as well as the hammer and extractor, have a black finish which stands out against the silver background. The front sight, rear sight/optic covers and pins are also black-finished. They are therefore highly visible when compared to the silver-finished slide. The grips have been replaced with walnut grips that are textured. The stippled texture ensures a secure grip during fire courses, whether they are wet or not. PDW reported on May 11, 2023: In a not-too-distant time, Girsan released the MC P35 OPS, and the MC P35 PI, two Browning Hi-Power-style pistols. The all-steel guns were greeted with great fanfare for their own reasons. The company decided to combine the two to create a new product. It’s like Peanut Butter Cups but better. Photo by European American Armory Girsan MC P35 PI OPS The MC P35 PI OPS features an all-steel design and combines the best of both the PI OPS models. The compact, sleek design measures 7.5 inches in total and provides a concealable Browning Hi-Power-style platform. The PI OPS, with its overall weight of 2,10 pounds, is also manageable on the waist with the right holster. G-10 grips with textured surfaces provide a firm grip on the pistol, whether it is wet or not. A beavertail that is extended promotes a high grip and prevents slide bite. Just forward of the trigger guard, a Picatinny rail with three slots is available for adding lights, lasers or other accessories. The steel slide has aggressive rear cocking serrations to enhance slide manipulation in any situation. The optic-ready slide also uses a standard 3-dot configuration. The rear sight is a part of the removable cover for the optics, revealing the RMS/RMSc foot print. The barrel, which is 3.88 inches long and chambered for 9mm, is housed within the slide. The flat-faced trigger provides excellent control and sends the rounds downrange. The MC P35 PI OPS has a total capacity of 15+1 rounds, including a magazine with 15 rounds.
