As optics have become more affordable and readily available over the years, firearm makers have taken advantage of this increased availability. It is becoming more common for new firearms with an optic cut than not. Meopta Sports Optics regularly releases pistol reflex optics like the MeoSight IV. The Meopta MeoSight IV, weighing in at 1.2 ounces, is the company’s smallest red dot sight. The sight is also very low in profile, measuring 1.22 inches. The MeoSight IV is made of aircraft-grade aluminum and can withstand heavy use. The sight can last for 30,000 hours on a single CR1632 3V battery. If the button is not pressed, the auto-off function turns the optic off after four hours. The illumination feature can be set to either a manual or an automatic mode. You have total control over the five brightness levels. The top-loading compartment for the battery allows you to swap it out without having to remove the optic. The MeoSight has a 3 MOA dot, with a 120 MOA elevation range and a 120MOA windage adjustment range. It can be used with standard-sized optics-ready pistol systems that use the Meopta/Docter mount plates. It also includes a Picatinny rail mounting mount that allows you to mount it to a rifle for close-quarter target acquisition, when used with a primary riflescope. Erik Muller, Meopta Sport Optics Product Specialist, stated that the MeoSight IV was designed to increase shooter speed and accuracy, whether it is used in handgun competitions or for personal defense. The Meopta MeoSight IV Sight has a MSRP of $399.99. For more info, please visit MeoptaSportsOptics.com. Magnification of Meopta MeoSight IV: 1.0x
