The official SHOT show product planner offers a “sneak peek” at 287 products new for 2024. In the weeks to come, there will be more. Here are nine new products that will interest gun owners and reloaders. We have not yet been able test these items because they were just released. The descriptions of the products are taken from the manufacturers. We will run a separate article on the new pistols and guns that will debut in 2020. Leaper UTG Bipod for Big BoreCompany: Leapers USTG The Leapers USTG Big Bore Bipod, a heavy duty bipod designed to fit ELR rifles of very large calibers. This bipod comes with a MIL STD Picatinny mount or an ARCA mounting. The Big Bore Bipod has a 40deg pannable angle and a 22deg tiltable angle with tension adjustment levers. The throw levers can be serviced by the user. The hub of the bipod is positioned with minimal offset from its mount. This results in improved stability, a lower center-of-gravity and better weight distribution. The bipod is very stable because of this, and the 60deg wide angle. The extendable legs allow for a wide range of center-height adjustments and can be retracted with a push of a single button. Note: This product is not yet available on Leaper’s website. Gun-Stixx, by Winchester GunStixx allows efficient use of gunsafes. Winchester GunStiXX are designed to fit all rifles and shotguns up to.20 caliber. This new firearm storage system is made up of an MDF rack with holes, aluminum cap, and plastic rods. Each rod is made from a sturdy, damage-free material that will not scratch your gun’s barrel or surface. It can also be trimmed to the desired length. This system works as a modular rack that secures guns in an upright position. It allows for more storage space within the same footprint. This system, like barrel rods in general, works best with rifles/shotguns that have relatively narrow forearms. We recommend removing the scope for long-term storage. Agescan International Some States have now banned the use of lead shotshells and bullets. This can be a problem for trap/skeet and bird shooters. There are several alternatives to lead shot. Agescan International introduced a new, non-toxic high-tensile superb bismuth shot. The manufacturer states: “We have invented a revolutionary production technique and formula.” The new Superb Bismuth Shot (SBS) exhibits an extremely high level of quality in terms uniformity, perfect roundness and mirror-finished surfaces, as well as zero fragmentation. The ballistic test proved that SBS performs as lead shot, and completely solved the shattering problem with traditional Bismuth Shot.” This can also be loaded into shotshells to use in areas where ammo containing leads projectiles is prohibited.
