Mossberg expands its MC2c family with a new Optic-Ready option

Enter to WIN a Gun Friday! IWI’s soon-to-be released Masada Slim Pistol and Caldwell Emax Shadows Pro! Near Last year, Mossberg released its MC2c after the success of the smaller MC1sc. This larger version was also available. The larger capacity was well received, as expected. It was obvious that there was only one way to go. The new Mossberg MC2c Optic Ready expands the pistol’s optics capabilities and adds a 9mm round. RELATED STORY Mossberg presents its Home Defense Lineup at Athlon Rendezvous. The Mossberg MOS2c Optic-Ready. Constructed from a glass-reinforced plastic, the MC2c can withstand harsh environments and is lightweight. The slide is also made of stainless-steel and has a black DLC (Diamond Like Coating) for greater chemical resistance. The grip of the MC2c has an 18-degree angle for a natural aim, similar to the 1911. The MC2c’s palm swell and aggressive texture increase firing retention. The new MC2c optic ready increased its capacity by 1 round, but it did not compromise its small size or grip width. You get 14+1 with the flush fit mag and 16+1 with an extended mag. There is also a 10-round option for prohibitive states. Despite the increased capacity, the 1.10-inch profile remains ideal for concealed carry. The MC2c now has the Optic-Ready slide, which is designed to fit the Shield RMS footprint and allows for co-witness using compatible optics. The MC2c ships standard equipped with white 3-dot spots, but can also be ordered with Truglo Tritium pro night sights. Each MC2c has a trigger safety, but an optional ambidextrous cross bolt manual safety is also available. The MC2c also includes Mossberg’s STS, which allows the pistol to be disassembled and cleaned without having to pull the trigger.
