Nammo Group CEO Morton Brandzaeg revealed plans to build a new Vihtavuori primer plant in Vihtavuori (Finland) during Vihtavuori’s recent 100th anniversary celebrations. Brandzaeg spoke in his keynote address to strategic partners in military, civilian markets about the new Vihtavuori plant. The factory is expected to begin production in 2025. The EUR33 million Euro investment will ensure that the supply chain of Nammo is resilient and secure. To meet military requirements, the new primer factory will be completed in 2025. It could also produce 400 million primers annually. The factory will create up to 50 jobs. Nammo stated that the new primer factory will “ensure the security of supply requirements for Nordic defense forces” and will increase the resilience of Nammo’s supply chain.
