February 20, 2023 – ZEISS now offers additional protection for ZEISS riflescopes with ‘Flip Up and Fold Flat Pro Lens Covers’. These lens covers are made with a number of key and exclusive features that make them stand out from other similar products. The ocular (eyepiece-) lens covers retail at $34.99 and the objective lens covers at $49.99. The accessories will be available at Authorized ZEISS Retailers across North America starting in April 2023. “Our new flip-up lens covers are made with a strong stay-secure dual-clamping mechanism and provide OEM fitment for current ZEISS riflescopes; however, they also have a few unique features,” stated Kyle Brown, Director of Marketing/Product at Carl ZEISS SBE LLC. These lens covers are easy to fold flat and secure in place, even when subjected to heavy recoil. They provide excellent protection against the elements and protect valuable lenses from being scratched. It’s simple: you have clean, scratch-free optics at your disposal. Clean optics will allow you to hit the target accurately and precisely. “ZEISS will offer nine different lens sizes. Each one is an excellent OEM fit for every ZEISS riflescope. They are made in the USA from Nylon 11 material, which resists harsh UV light and maintains proper fitment – even in extreme temperature shifts – and reduces weight. Dual clamps with stainless-steel hardware and springs are used on each lens cover to ensure long-term serviceability and fit. Both the objective and ocular lens covers have a fold-flat secure system that allows the cap to be held in a shooter-ready position parallel to the scope’s main tube. It then stays there, safe during recoil.
Two unique features are included in the objective lens cover design: 1) The integrated spare batteries containment system allows for a spare battery to be stored where it is most needed; 2) The onboard Torx(R), wrench containment system allows for a safe and convenient location to keep this valuable turret tool. These features offer great benefits to hunters and shooters.
