We now have a Long-Range National Champion. Oliver Milanovic, a 2021 NRA National Long Range Championship competitor, won the title with a score 1245-73X at Camp Atterbury in Indiana. Oliver was shooting a Eliseo Chassis + Borden action Palma rifle with 155gr bullets. SSG Amanda Elsenbuss (2019 National Long Range Champion) finished second with 1245-69X. Jeffrey Miles was third with 1244-73X.
It was very close, as you can see. The top three shooters were separated by only one point. Milanovic, an Arizona-based marksman, was able to put on a great performance to win the Thompkins Trophy. Oliver, who has been a member of the winning Sling Division Team at Berger SW Nationals in past years, is no stranger to the podium.
Milanovic used his trusty.308 Winchester Competition Machine Eliseo chassis rifle with a Borden Action to load Palma-spec 155gr bullets. Other chamberings are permitted for certain stages of the Long Range Championship. However, Oliver used his 155gr Palma load all the time. Milanovic won the Palma Individual Trophy Match with a remarkable score of 450-30X, not dropping one point.

In a future digital edition, Shooting Sports USA will publish a complete report on the 2021 NRA High Power Long Range Championship.
