Panel of Ballistics Experts at Kestrel SHOT Show Booth today

January 19, 2023Kestrel ballistics will host a live session with four industry professionals at its SHOT Show booth #14856. The expert panel session will be held today, January 19th, from 1:00 to 2:20 PM MST. The four-man panel is comprised of Bryan Litz (Mitchell Fitzpatrick), Todd Hodnett, Colby Hodnett, as well as three shooting experts. These four men will answer questions from the audience and share their knowledge on ballistics, ELR competition, all things shooting related. Bryan Litz received his Aerospace Engineering degree at Pennsylvania State University in 2002. He worked for six years at the U.S. Air Force, working on air-to-air missile simulation and design. He left the USAF in 2008 to become Chief Ballistician at Berger Bullets. Bryan founded Applied Ballistics, which has published numerous articles, books, videos, and other materials about the science of long range shooting. Bryan is also a notable competitor, having won the 2015 Mid-Range F-TR National Championship. Bryan is widely regarded as the world’s foremost rifle ballistics expert. He is the author of several acclaimed books on long-range shooting and ballistics. Mitchell Fitzpatrick works as an engineer at Applied Ballistics. Mitch has won many shooting awards, including Junior F-TR World Champion 2013 and the King of 2 Miles ELR shooting contest in 2016. He also won the Open Division of the 2019 Nightforce ELR Match. Mitch graduated from Michigan Technological University in 2014 with a major and minor in Aerospace Engineering. He then joined the Applied Ballistics Team in 2014. Mitchell is now a full time engineer at Applied Ballistics.
Mitchell Fitzpatrick shoots.375 EnABELR at an ELR Competition.. Todd has 20 years of experience and has traveled the globe training soldiers in precision shooting. His vision, determination, and knowledge have aided in the development of products that improve the accuracy and function for the precision shooter and sniper. Colby is an avid hunter, angler and outdoor enthusiast. He is also a certified flight instructor, NRA-certified pistol teacher, and aircraft mechanic. Colby and his father Todd continue to serve the Kestrel Community by being a resource for long-range shooting.
