President’s Crime Approach: Gun Control

Gang violence? More gun control. Spiraling crime? More gun control is needed. Recurring offenders committing crime within hours of no bail release? Gun control.

Although President Biden has been blaming firearm industry for decades as a straw man, he took it to the next level in 2019 when he declared that “Our enemy is not the NRA, but the gun manufacturers.”

It’s almost as if The White House’s crime strategy is written on the back cover of a shampoo bottle.

This idea was so confident that President Biden invited police officers and city leaders to The White House to discuss “Comprehensive Strategy to Reduce Gun Crimes.”

“While there is no one-size-fits-all approach, we know there some things that work and the first of these things is stemming violent crime-related firearms flows,” President Biden stated to the media at the start of the conference. It also includes cracking down upon rogue gun dealers who violate the federal law.

He also included a number of ambiguous and unclear agenda items, including the creation of strike forces to combat illegal gun trafficking. Despite the fact that they exist and are always underfunded, Instead of talking about police defunding, the president pushed for siphoning recovery funds to fill in the gaps left by city officials abandoning their citizens and struggling police departments. The third part of the plan is to rely upon community violence interrupters without delineating who or what they mean. This sounds like a great career choice for “community organizers.” It would increase mental health resources, job training, and increase mental health. The last part is to provide job training for convicts.

President Biden stated, “And this will help prevent crime and support youth to pick up a salary instead of a gun.”

Rinse. Lather. Repeat.

How to Catch Actual Criminals

He didn’t mention how the White House would confront criminals who prey on innocent Americans. It’s all about gun control. Never the criminal, the real problem.

Fox News reported that the president has already instituted a “zero tolerance policy” against gun dealers he considers to be rogue. The president wants firearm retailers who “willfully” transfer firearms to prohibited individuals to be held accountable. Nobody wants firearms in the possession of prohibited persons. To prevent this, the firearm industry has several partnerships programs with Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to stop it under the Real Solutions campaign. It is a rare case in which a firearm retailer violates a license, and the firearm industry demands that they be held responsible.

The White House however gave clues that their goal was to attack the industry, not the criminal, during the campaign. The Biden-Harris ticket supported a policy of using ATF as a bludgeon to firearm retailers. They threatened to yank manufacturers’ licenses for minor clerical mistakes. The president has nominated David Chipman, a gun control lobbyist, to lead the ATF. This is his plan to implement it.

According to the Department of Justice, studies by retailers show that they are following the law. According to Bureau of Justice Statistics, more than 90 percent of the convicted criminals who used firearms in their crimes were able to obtain them illegally through theft or the black marketplace.

This is not a retailer issue. This is a criminal matter.

Americans embrace guns

Americans agree. A Washington Post poll revealed that 59% of Americans think crime is a serious problem. Newsweek reported that support for gun control laws is at an all-time low.

These convictions are being applied by Americans. Last year, there were 21 million background checks to determine if a gun was being sold. According to NSSF retailer survey results, 8.4 million people bought a gun for their first time. Gun sales to African Americans increased by 58 percent. Hispanic-Americans purchased guns at a 47 per cent higher rate, while Asian-Americans purchased them at a rate 43 percent higher in 2020 than in 2019. These trends are continuing.

Gun control supporters of President Biden echo his narrow vision of focusing on gun rights for those who follow the law. U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D.Ill.) stated to media that “We have more guns than anyone who wrote The Second Amendment could have imagined.”

He recited a series of lies about gun sales, including the claim that guns can be sold online. However, all retail firearm sales must take place in person with an FBI National Instant Criminal Background Check System verification. Sen. Durbin’s state has some of the most stringent gun control laws in the country, but also one of the highest crime rates.

Sen. Durbin doesn’t have an excessive amount of guns. He has a lot of criminals.

Take it seriously

This is exactly what James Craig, former Detroit Police Chief, has been saying. Law-abiding gun owners don’t cause the problem. It’s criminals running amok, and there is no willingness on the part of the federal, state, or local governments (including George Soros-funded District attorneys) to do the hard work of reining them in.

“We don’t have a gun problem here in America. According to a Townhall.com report, Craig stated that there is a criminal problem. Criminals don’t follow the law. They’re going to get guns so what should we focus on? It’s not about getting guns from law-abiding citizens it is about criminals who are legally able to get guns. That’s the bottom line.

Craig explained that President Biden’s failing policies, including no-bail policies and allowing police to be made scapegoats for political ineptness, and “defund police” policies, are encouraging criminals.

America’s crime problem cannot be solved by focusing on gun control rather than arresting criminals. It’s as simple as rinse, lather and repeat.
