Register Now for National Pistol Matches in July at Camp Perry

The 2024 National Pistol Matches will take place at the Camp Perry National Guard training site in Port Clinton, Ohio from July 14-21. These matches are organized by the Civilian Marksmanship Program and Ohio National Guard. It’s not too early to register for the National Pistol Matches. Click HERE for more information on the National Pistol Matches. The National Pistol matches are open to adults and juniors with all levels of experience. They include traditional matches such as the President’s Pistol, National Trophy Individual and National Trophy Team, along with a series 900 aggregate matches for.22 and.45 pistols, and centerfire. The CMP Games competitions such as the Military & Police Matches and 1911 As Issued Matches will also be included in the National Matches Schedule (see Calendar below). The last pistol matches will be held on Sunday, 21st. Pistol Games Awards will be presented at the end of that day. The GSSF GLOCK Challenge will return to the schedule in 2020, while the Service Revolver EIC Match is now named the Philip Hemphill Memorial Service Revolver EIC Match, in honor of Philip Hemphill. Hemphill was a celebrated national champ who passed away in 2023. On the firing line, there will be a lot of talent. In recent years, more than 90% of the top fifty Service Pistol Shooters were Distinguished. CMP will also hold indoor Air Pistol National Matches in the Gary Anderson CMP Competiton Center. Rental air pistols can be rented for a small fee. Pistol Registration Form PDF >> Pistol Training and Practice Opportunies In connection with the National Matches, a Pistol Small Arms Firing School (SAFS) will be held July 15, 2024. The SAFS participants are taught by some of the best military marksmen in the country about firearm safety and competition fundamentals, both in the classroom and at the range. The live-fire portion is conducted with all firearms and ammunition.

The 2024 National Matches include a Pistol and Small Arms Firing school. Sign up for Pistol Practice July 15-16 (cost $5.00 per practice hour) if you want to spend a little more time on the range. At check-in, competitors will receive a Pistol Practice Card. Additional practice time can be purchased (if available). Since 1907, the annual National Matches are held at Camp Perry National Guard Training Site. The month-long series includes the CMP National Trophy Pistol and Rifle Matches as well as National Games Matches. National Air Gun Championships and National Mid-Range and Long Range Matches are also part of the series. The National Matches include educational clinics that are open to shooters of any level.
