Many news outlets reported this morning that the White House plans to remove David Chipman as ATF direct. This decision follows a bipartisan push to review Chipman’s records, including his gun control work and personal alleged corruptions during his career.

David Chipman ATF Bid Finally Opened
According to The Washington Post, the comment was declined. The Post reported that Chipman was opposed by some Senate Democrats. According to the Post the White House will seek another role for Chipman in the administration.
Chipman’s death is a major victory for 2A advocates and gun owners, as well as the firearm industry. It is also the latest victory for the Biden administration. Despite being the most anti-gun presidency ever in American history, we have largely avoided increased gun controls so far.
David Chipman was always a controversial choice. After a successful career with the ATF Chipman switched to gun control. He was most notable for his work at Giffords. He became a vocal advocate for gun control and advocated for bans on magazines and AR-15 rifles for the public. His appointment was also marred by scandal. There are allegations that he made racist comments towards ATF agents during the course of his career.
