All photos hosted by Imgur and posted by Padom. All serious riflemen know that Krieger barrels are world-class and have won numerous National Championships. Did you know that Krieger also makes excellent rimfire barrels? Krieger makes outstanding.22 LR rimfire barrels which can deliver impressive accuracy. Sniper’s Hide moderator “Padom” recently tested five different barrels, including Krieger, Bartlein Benchmark Lilja and Green Mountain. He tested both at 50 yards and at 100 yards. CLICK HERE FOR THE FULL Rimfire Test Report. Padom reported on the 50-yard RimX test: “Had an almost dead calm day today (Keystone Accuracy RimX with 1:16″ Krieger 20″ barrel). There were a few 3 mph gusts, but it was mostly calm and the target was visible. This Krieger edged the Bartlein out by 0.003′ with a 6×5 of 0.177” and SK Rifle match. The 10×5 was a 0.198”. The best Center-X lots were not far behind. “This is the first Krieger [rimfire] barrel I’ve ever shot and it didn’t disappoint.”

Padom noted that the 100-yard test was successful because winds were calmer than they were this morning. The wind was pretty consistent at 3-5 mph. Test Results at 100 yards

Padom then tested ammunition at 100 yards using his Krieger rimfire bar: “To summarize, the Krieger shot best 50-yard result of all the barrels so far. It just barely beat the Bartlein, but it was so closely that you can call the results (.005). The Center-X on the Krieger barrels beat all other barrels at 100 yards with a good margin. The 10×5 also performed well, with a little over 0.6″ showing that the results were consistent. A second lot of Center X was just a hair over 0.6” away from the previous best 100-yard 6×5 results. The third lot of Center X shot a respectable 6×5 at 0.75″. This Krieger is shooting incredibly well. I’m looking forward to shooting at 300 and 400 yard[. Components tested: 20” Krieger barrel,.22 LR match Eachus chamber 0.046 space, Zermatt RimX action, Bix’N Andy TacSport pro 2-stage trigger, RimX 10-rd magazine, XLR Envy pro folding chassis, Athlon Cronus 4.5-29x56mm scope.
